The Recombinant GCLC Monoclonal Antibody is a recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibody (clone C170417) against GCLC. Glutamate-cysteine ligase, also known as gamma-glutamylcysteine synthetase is the first rate-limiting enzyme of glutathione synthesis. The enzyme consists of two subunits, a heavy catalytic subunit and a light regulatory subunit. This locus encodes the catalytic subunit, while the regulatory subunit is derived from a different gene located on chromosome 1p22-p21. Produced by recombinant technology in Rabbit hosts and purified by Protein A affinity chromatography, this Rabbit IgG antibody is reactive against Human, Mouse and Rat samples.
This antibody is suitable for WB, IF, IP and ELISA applications. It has been validated by WB analysis of Hela. The target is localized to the cytoplasm.
