The Recombinant Rb Monoclonal Antibody is a recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibody (clone C271010) against Rb. The protein encoded by this gene is a negative regulator of the cell cycle and was the first tumor suppressor gene found. The encoded protein also stabilizes constitutive heterochromatin to maintain the overall chromatin structure. The active, hypophosphorylated form of the protein binds transcription factor E2F1. Produced by recombinant technology in Rabbit hosts and purified by Protein A affinity chromatography, this Rabbit IgG antibody is reactive against Human and Mouse samples.
This antibody is suitable for WB, IF, IP and ELISA applications. It has been validated by WB analysis of Rat pancreas. The target is localized to the nucleus, during keratinocyte differentiation, acetylation by KAT2B/PCAF is required for nuclear localization.
