The Recombinant SERCA2 Monoclonal Antibody is a recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibody (clone C110887) against SERCA2. This gene encodes one of the SERCA Ca(2+)-ATPases, which are intracellular pumps located in the sarcoplasmic or endoplasmic reticula of muscle cells. This enzyme catalyzes the hydrolysis of ATP coupled with the translocation of calcium from the cytosol into the sarcoplasmic reticulum lumen, and is involved in regulation of the contraction/relaxation cycle. Mutations in this gene cause Darier-White disease, also known as keratosis follicularis, an autosomal dominant skin disorder characterized by loss of adhesion between epidermal cells and abnormal keratinization. Produced by recombinant technology in Rabbit hosts and purified by Protein A affinity chromatography, this Rabbit IgG antibody is reactive against Human, Mouse and Rat samples.
This antibody is suitable for WB, IHC, IF and ELISA applications. It has been validated by IHC analysis of Human cardiac muscle. The target is localized to the endoplasmic reticulum membrane, multi-pass membrane protein, sarcoplasmic reticulum membrane, multi-pass membrane protein.
