The Recombinant SMARCC2/BAF170 Monoclonal Antibody is a recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibody (clone C221686) against SMARCC2/BAF170. Involved in transcriptional activation and repression of select genes by chromatin remodeling (alteration of DNA-nucleosome topology). Component of SWI/SNF chromatin remodeling complexes that carry out key enzymatic activities, changing chromatin structure by alteringDNA-histone contacts within a nucleosome in an ATP-dependent manner. BAF170 is one of the core subunits of the SWI/SNF complex, which is necessary for efficient nucleosome remodeling by Brg1 in vitro. While BAF170 has been shown to be part of the SWI/SNF complexin non-pluripotent cells, it is absent in pluripotent embryonic stem (ES) cells. Produced by recombinant technology in Rabbit hosts and purified by Protein A affinity chromatography, this Rabbit IgG antibody is reactive against Human and Mouse samples.
This antibody is suitable for WB, IHC, FCM and IP applications. It has been validated by WB analysis of PANC-1,?HeLa, IHC analysis of Human colon cancer, Mouse cerebrum, Mouse colon, FCM analysis of A549 and IP analysis of PANC-1 cells extracts. The target is localized to the nucleus.
