Recombinant TMPRSS2 Monoclonal Antibody

The Recombinant TMPRSS2 Monoclonal Antibody is a recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibody (clone C721300) against TMPRSS2. Plasma membrane-anchored serine protease that participates in proteolytic cascades of relevance for the normal physiologic function of the prostate. Androgen-induced TMPRSS2 activates several substrates that include pro-hepatocyte growth factor/HGF, the protease activated receptor-2/F2RL1 or matriptase/ST14 leading to extracellular matrix disruption and metastasis of prostate cancer cells. Produced by recombinant technology in Rabbit hosts and purified by Protein A affinity chromatography, this Rabbit IgG antibody is reactive against Human and Rat samples.

This antibody is suitable for WB, IHC and FCM applications. It has been validated by WB analysis of Rat kidney, IHC analysis of Human kidney and FCM analysis of LNCaP. The target is localized to the plasma membrane.
