Recombinant Vinculin Monoclonal Antibody

The Recombinant Vinculin Monoclonal Antibody is a recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibody (clone C173280) against Vinculin. Vinculin belongs to the vinculin/alpha-catenin family. It is an actin filament (F-actin)-binding protein which involved in cell-matrix adhesion and cell-cell adhesion. Vinculin is a cytoskeletal protein associated with cell-cell and cell-matrix junctions. Produced by recombinant technology in Rabbit hosts and purified by affinity chromatography, this Rabbit IgG antibody is reactive against Human, Mouse and Rat samples.

This antibody is suitable for WB and IF applications. It has been validated by WB analysis of K562, Rat Rat Brain, C6, 3T3, Hela and IF analysis of Hela. The target is localized to the Cytoplasm>cytoskeleton. Cell junction>adherens junction. Cell membrane. Cytoplasmic face of adhesion plaques. Recruitment to cell-cell junctions occurs in a myosin II-dependent manner. Interaction with CTNNB1 is necessary for its localization to the cell-cell junctions.
