The Recombinant Vinculin Monoclonal Antibody is a recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibody (clone C123405) against Vinculin. Vinculin belongs to the vinculin/alpha-catenin family. It is an actin filament (F-actin)-binding protein which involved in cell-matrix adhesion and cell-cell adhesion. Vinculin is a cytoskeletal protein associated with cell-cell and cell-matrix junctions. Produced by recombinant technology in Rabbit hosts and purified by affinity chromatography, this Rabbit IgG antibody is reactive against Human, Mouse and Rat samples.
This antibody is suitable for WB and IHC-P applications. It has been validated by WB analysis of K562, C6, 3T3, Hela and IHC analysis of Human breast cancer. The target is localized to the Cytoplasm>cytoskeleton. Cell junction>adherens junction. Cell membrane. Cytoplasmic face of adhesion plaques. Recruitment to cell-cell junctions occurs in a myosin II-dependent manner. Interaction with CTNNB1 is necessary for its localization to the cell-cell junctions.
