Human TAC3 / Tachykinin-3 ELISA Kit

The tachykinin family of secreted neuropeptides is encoded by TAC3/Tachykinin-3. The mature peptide, which is primarily expressed in the central and peripheral nervous systems and functions as a neurotransmitter, is produced by proteolytic processing of the encoded preproprotein. The neurokinin-3 receptor ligand is this peptide. This protein is also found in the placenta's outer syncytiotrophoblast and has been linked to pregnancy-induced hypertension and pre-eclampsia. This gene mutation is linked to normosmic hypogonadotropic hypogonadism. Multiple transcript variants result from alternative splicing, at least one of which encodes a proteolytically processed isoform. Hypogonadotropic Hypogonadism 10 With Or Without Anosmia and Normosmic Congenital Hypogonadotropic Hypogonadism are two diseases linked to TAC3. RET signalling and GPCR signalling are two pathways that are related to it.
