The Rad18 Monoclonal Antibody (CAB4339) is a high-quality antibody developed for reliable detection and analysis of target proteins. This antibody, developed using rabbit monoclonal technology, is highly specific to human samples and has been validated for use in Western blotting applications.RAD18 plays a crucial role in the post-replication repair pathway, facilitating the recruitment of DNA repair factors to sites of DNA damage. Dysregulation of RAD18 has been linked to increased genomic instability and susceptibility to cancer development. By targeting RAD18 with this antibody, researchers can investigate its cellular functions in various biological contexts, including DNA repair mechanisms, cell cycle regulation, and the response to DNA-damaging agents.
This antibody is validated for use in WB, ELISA applications and has demonstrated reactivity against Human, Mouse, Rat samples.

The protein encoded by this gene is highly similar to S. cerevisiae DNA damage repair protein Rad18. Yeast Rad18 functions through its interaction with Rad6, which is an ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme required for post-replication repair of damaged DNA. Similar to its yeast counterpart, this protein is able to interact with the human homolog of yeast Rad6 protein through a conserved ring-finger motif. Mutation of this motif results in defective replication of UV-damaged DNA and hypersensitivity to multiple mutagens.
