Description
Rat AADAT Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Rat AADAT Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Pro30-Ser425, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 46.82 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Kynurenine/alpha-aminoadipate aminotransferase, mitochondrial (AADAT) is a ~47 kDa protein. Transaminase with broad substrate specificity. For research use only.
Has transaminase activity towards aminoadipate, kynurenine, methionine and glutamate. Shows activity also towards tryptophan, aspartate and hydroxykynurenine. Accepts a variety of oxo-acids as amino-group acceptors, with a preference for 2-oxoglutarate, 2-oxocaproic acid, phenylpyruvate and alpha-oxo-gamma-methiol butyric acid. Can also use glyoxylate as amino-group acceptor (in vitro).
