The Recombinant ACE2 Monoclonal Antibody is a recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibody (clone C120023) against ACE2. The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the angiotensin-converting enzyme family of dipeptidyl carboxydipeptidases and has considerable homology to human angiotensin 1 converting enzyme. This secreted protein catalyzes the cleavage of angiotensin I into angiotensin 1-9, and angiotensin II into the vasodilator angiotensin 1-7. The organ- and cell-specific expression of this gene suggests that it may play a role in the regulation of cardiovascular and renal function, as well as fertility. Produced by recombinant technology in Rabbit hosts and purified by Protein A affinity chromatography, this Rabbit IgG antibody is reactive against Human, Mouse and Rat samples.
This antibody is suitable for WB, IHC-P and IP applications. It has been validated by WB analysis of MCF-7, Mouse kindey, Mouse lung, Mouse heart, Rat heart and IHC analysis of Mouse kidney. The target is localized to the secreted, cell membrane, cytoplasm, cell projection, cilium, apical cell membrane.
