Description
Human AGK Recombinant Protein (N-GST)
Human AGK Recombinant Protein (N-GST) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Thr15-Pro300, with an N-terminal GST tag. Predicted molecular weight: 58.39 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Acylglycerol kinase, mitochondrial (AGK) is a ~47 kDa protein. Lipid kinase that can phosphorylate both monoacylglycerol and diacylglycerol to form lysophosphatidic acid (LPA) and phosphatidic acid (PA), respectively. For research use only.
Does not phosphorylate sphingosine. Phosphorylates ceramide. Phosphorylates 1,2-dioleoylglycerol more rapidly than 2,3-dioleoylglycerol. Independently of its lipid kinase activity, acts as a component of the TIM22 complex.
