GenieDetect Nipah Virus Detection Kit (Fluorescent PCR)
The GenieDetect Nipah Virus Detection Kit (Fluorescent PCR) is a research-use real-time PCR assay for detecting Nipah virus (NiV) nucleic acid in samples. Nipah virus is a zoonotic paramyxovirus of the genus Henipavirus that can cause severe respiratory illness and encephalitis, so sensitive, specific detection tools are valuable for research and surveillance studies.
The kit targets a conserved region of the NiV P (phosphoprotein) gene and supplies specifically designed primers, HotStart Taq DNA polymerase and an optimised qPCR buffer system to promote efficient amplification of low-concentration templates.
