Color Step ELISA Kits
Sandwich ELISA kits with colour-coded reagents that change the colour of the wells at each step — so you can see every well was dosed correctly, catch pipetting errors before you read the plate, and get quantitative results in about two hours.
Each reagent gives the wells a distinct colour, so a missed or double-dosed well stands out immediately.
Spot a pipetting error mid-assay and correct it, instead of discovering it at the plate reader.
New lab members can follow the protocol visually, with the same precision as experienced users.
Many targets also run on a 3-step, 90-minute protocol with HRP-streptavidin added in step 1. Check the kit manual for your target.

A sandwich ELISA with colour-coded reagents: each reagent tints the wells a distinct colour, so you can see at a glance that every well received each step. It turns a routine protocol into a visual check that catches missed or double-dispensed wells before you read the plate.
Around 120 minutes on the standard protocol, and around 90 minutes for targets on the 3-step protocol where HRP-streptavidin is added in step 1. The protocol for each target is in its kit manual.
ColorStep kits are released with a CV below 6%, supported by the visual confirmation of each pipetting step.
50 µL of sample per well. Kits are validated for sample types such as serum, plasma and cell-culture supernatant; the validated matrices are listed on each product page.
Both are fast ELISA formats. ColorStep prioritises visual protocol control with colour-coded reagents in a sandwich format, while QuickStep uses a single load-and-wash step and includes competitive kits for hormones. Compare both on our fast ELISA kits page.
