How it works

One load, one wash

1

Load

Add standards, samples and detection reagents to the pre-coated wells together.

2

Incubate

Target binding and detection happen in a single incubation.

3

Wash once

One wash step removes unbound material.

4

Read

Add TMB, stop and read at 450 nm against the standard curve.

FAQs

QuickStep ELISA FAQs

What is a QuickStep ELISA kit?

A fast ELISA with a single load-and-wash step: sample and reagents are added together, incubated, then washed once before substrate — giving quantitative results in about 90 minutes with fewer hands-on steps than a conventional ELISA.

Which formats are available?

Sandwich kits for proteins such as IL-6, IL-8, CRP and ferritin, and competitive kits for small molecules — above all steroid hormones such as estradiol, estriol, progesterone, testosterone, cortisol and corticosterone.

Which species are covered?

Human, mouse and rat, plus monkey, porcine, bovine, sheep, chicken, canine, rabbit and horse — see the hormone matrix above for exactly which hormone is available for which species.

How precise are QuickStep kits?

QuickStep kits are released with a CV below 10%.

How much sample do I need?

50 µL of sample per well. The validated sample types for each kit are listed on its product page.

How is QuickStep different from ColorStep?

Both are fast ELISA formats. QuickStep minimises hands-on steps with a single wash and covers competitive hormone assays; ColorStep uses colour-coded reagents to confirm each pipetting step in a sandwich format. Compare both on our fast ELISA kits page.
