Mouse TIMP-1 (Tissue Inhibitors of Metalloproteinase 1) ELISA Kit
The Mouse TIMP-1 (Tissue Inhibitors of Metalloproteinase 1) ELISA Kit is a specialized assay designed to quantitatively measure levels of TIMP-1 in various biological samples. TIMP-1 is a critical regulator of metalloproteinase activity, playing a significant role in the control of tissue remodeling, cell proliferation, and extracellular matrix maintenance. As an essential component in inhibiting matrix degradation, TIMP-1 is involved in numerous physiological and pathological processes, including wound healing, cancer invasion, and tissue repair. Accurate measurement of TIMP-1 levels is crucial for elucidating its role in tissue homeostasis, disease progression, and potential therapeutic interventions. Understanding the expression levels and activity of TIMP-1 can provide valuable insights into the pathophysiology of various conditions, particularly those involving tissue remodeling and extracellular matrix dynamics. The Mouse TIMP-1 ELISA Kit from Assay Genie offers high sensitivity and specificity, ensuring accurate and reproducible results. Manufactured under rigorous quality control standards, this kit delivers reliable performance and user-friendly protocols, making it an excellent choice for research studies investigating the biological functions of TIMP-1.

This ELISA kit uses the Sandwich-ELISA principle. The micro ELISA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to the target protein. Standards or samples are added to the micro ELISA plate wells and bind to the immobilized antibody. A biotinylated detection antibody specific to the target protein is then added, followed by Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate. Free components are washed away. The substrate solution is added to each well, resulting in a color change. Only wells containing the target protein, detection antibody, and HRP conjugate will develop a blue color. The reaction is terminated by the addition of stop solution, resulting in a yellow color. The optical density (OD) is measured at 450 nm ± 2 nm. The OD value is directly proportional to the concentration of the target protein in the sample and is determined using a standard curve.
