The Phospho-Tau-Thr231 Antibody (CABP0923) is a high-quality antibody developed for reliable detection and analysis of target proteins. This antibody, generated in rabbits, specifically recognizes tau protein phosphorylated at threonine 231, allowing for precise detection and analysis in various cell types and tissues.Tau protein phosphorylation at threonine 231 is known to play a critical role in the regulation of tau function and aggregation, making this antibody particularly important for studies on neurodegeneration and neurobiology.
This antibody is validated for use in WB, ELISA applications and has demonstrated reactivity against Mouse samples.

This gene encodes the microtubule-associated protein tau (MAPT) whose transcript undergoes complex, regulated alternative splicing, giving rise to several mRNA species. MAPT transcripts are differentially expressed in the nervous system, depending on stage of neuronal maturation and neuron type. MAPT gene mutations have been associated with several neurodegenerative disorders such as Alzheimer's disease, Pick's disease, frontotemporal dementia, cortico-basal degeneration and progressive supranuclear palsy.
