Human IDH1 Recombinant Protein

Isocitrate dehydrogenases catalyses the oxidative decarboxylation of isocitrate to 2-oxoglutarate. The enzymes are divided into two categories: those that use NAD(+) as an electron acceptor and those that utilize NADP(+). Three NAD(+)-dependent isocitrate dehydrogenases that localise to the mitochondrial matrix have been identified. In addition, two NADP(+)-dependent isocitrate dehydrogenases, one of which is mitochondrial and the other predominantly cytosolic have been identified. Each isozyme that is dependent on NADP(+) is a homodimer. This gene encodes the NADP(+)-dependent isocitrate dehydrogenase, which is present in both the cytoplasm and peroxisomes. Glioma susceptibility 1 and Metaphyseal enchondromatosis with D-2-hydroxyglutaric aciduria are two diseases assocaited with IDH1. The HIV life cycle and amino acid metabolism are two pathways related to Isocitrate dehydrogenases. Human IDH1 Recombinant Protein is a highly pure recombinant protein developed by Assay Genie for use in a range of applications.
