Co-Founders

Colm Ryan, PhD
With a strong foundation in Genetics, Colm earned his undergraduate degree from Trinity College Dublin and completed his PhD at the University of Leicester. He later conducted postdoctoral research at the IGBMC in Strasbourg, France, focusing on molecular biology and protein interactions. An accomplished scientist, Colm has published extensively in the fields of genetics, molecular biology, and biochemistry. Colm’s expertise spans genomics, nuclear protein dynamics, and transcriptional regulation.

Colm is a proud father of two, hailing from county Tipperary. As one of the co-founders of Assay Genie, Colm has been instrumental in shaping the company’s success.
Outside of work, he stays active with a variety of interests, including GAA, paddle boarding, and camping. He’s also a passionate choir member and a dedicated dog lover.
