QKI (pan) Antibody [N147/6 (Formerly sold as S147-6)]
QKI (pan) Antibody [N147/6 (Formerly sold as S147-6)] is a mouse monoclonal antibody directed against QKI (pan), offered by Assay Genie for research applications. Reported applications include WB, IHC and ICC/IF. Reported reactivity: Human, Mouse and Rat. Supplied as IgG2b, purified by Protein G.
QKI (Quaking), also known as HqkI, is an RNA-binding protein that plays a critical role in post-transcriptional gene regulation. It influences pre-mRNA splicing, mRNA export, stability, and translation, and is itself regulated by alternative splicing. QKI is essential for oligodendrocyte differentiation and myelination in the central nervous system. Its expression is particularly enriched in the frontal cortex, where it contributes to neuronal development and synaptic function. Dysregulation of QKI has been implicated in neuropsychiatric and neurodegenerative disorders. Notably, reduced QKI expression has been observed in the brains of individuals with schizophrenia. Given its role in RNA metabolism and neural connectivity, QKI is a promising target for understanding the molecular basis of neurodegeneration and developing RNA-based therapeutic strategies. This antibody is also available conjugated to ATTO 390, ATTO 488, ATTO 594, APC, Biotin, FITC, HRP, PerCP and RPE. Supplied in 100 µg. For research use only; not for diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.
