The COLQ Polyclonal Antibody (CAB10448) is a valuable tool for researchers studying COLQ, a protein involved in the formation of the neuromuscular junction. This antibody, produced in rabbits, has high reactivity with human samples and is validated for use in Western blot applications. By binding specifically to the COLQ protein, this antibody enables accurate detection and analysis in various cell types.COLQ is essential for the proper functioning of the neuromuscular junction, where nerve impulses are transmitted to muscle fibers.
Dysregulation of COLQ has been linked to conditions such as congenital myasthenic syndrome, highlighting its importance in neuromuscular health. This antibody is ideal for research projects focused on understanding COLQ's role in neuromuscular disorders and developing potential therapies to target this protein.

This gene encodes the subunit of a collagen-like molecule associated with acetylcholinesterase in skeletal muscle. Each molecule is composed of three identical subunits. Each subunit contains a proline-rich attachment domain (PRAD) that binds an acetylcholinesterase tetramer to anchor the catalytic subunit of the enzyme to the basal lamina. Mutations in this gene are associated with endplate acetylcholinesterase deficiency. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
