The Histone H2A.Z Monoclonal Antibody (CAB4599) is a high-quality antibody developed for reliable detection and analysis of target proteins. This antibody, raised in rabbits, specifically targets the histone variant H2A.Z, a key player in chromatin remodeling and transcriptional regulation.Histone H2A.Z is known to be involved in various cellular processes, such as DNA repair, gene expression, and cellular differentiation. It is often found at specific genomic locations, where it regulates the accessibility of DNA to transcription factors and other proteins involved in gene regulation. The CAB4599 antibody is highly reactive with human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications, making it suitable for detection and analysis of H2A.
This antibody is validated for use in WB, IP, ChIP, ELISA applications and has demonstrated reactivity against Human, Mouse, Rat, Other (Wide Range Predicted) samples.

Histones are basic nuclear proteins that are responsible for the nucleosome structure of the chromosomal fiber in eukaryotes. Nucleosomes consist of approximately 146 bp of DNA wrapped around a histone octamer composed of pairs of each of the four core histones (H2A, H2B, H3, and H4). The chromatin fiber is further compacted through the interaction of a linker histone, H1, with the DNA between the nucleosomes to form higher order chromatin structures. This gene encodes a replication-independent member of the histone H2A family that is distinct from other members of the family. Studies in mice have shown that this particular histone is required for embryonic development and indicate that lack of functional histone H2A leads to embryonic lethality.

Chromatin immunoprecipitation analysis of extracts of HeLa cells, using Histone H2A.Z Rabbit mAb antibody (CAB4599) and rabbit IgG.The amount of immunoprecipitated DNA was checked by quantitative PCR. Histogram was constructed by the ratios of the immunoprecipitated DNA to the input.
