The Mouse IFABP (FABP2) Intestinal Fatty Acid Binding Protein ELISA Kit is specially designed for the accurate measurement of mouse IFABP levels in serum, plasma, and cell culture supernatants. This kit offers high sensitivity and specificity, ensuring precise and reproducible results, making it an ideal tool for various research applications.IFABP, also known as FABP2, plays a crucial role in fatty acid metabolism and transport in the intestines. It is involved in the absorption and transportation of dietary fatty acids, making it a key player in lipid metabolism. Dysregulation of IFABP levels has been implicated in various gastrointestinal disorders, making it a valuable biomarker for studying these conditions and developing potential treatments.Overall, the Mouse IFABP (FABP2) Intestinal Fatty Acid Binding Protein ELISA Kit provides researchers with a reliable and efficient tool for investigating the role of IFABP in health and disease.
This ELISA kit uses the Sandwich-ELISA principle. The micro ELISA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to the target protein. Standards or samples are added to the micro ELISA plate wells and bind to the immobilized antibody. A biotinylated detection antibody specific to the target protein is then added, followed by Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate. Free components are washed away. The substrate solution is added to each well, resulting in a color change. Only wells containing the target protein, detection antibody, and HRP conjugate will develop a blue color. The reaction is terminated by the addition of stop solution, resulting in a yellow color. The optical density (OD) is measured at 450 nm ± 2 nm. The OD value is directly proportional to the concentration of the target protein in the sample and is determined using a standard curve.
