Mouse studies often mean small volumes. Most kits are validated for serum, plasma and cell-culture supernatant, and many for tissue homogenates.
Two antibodies capture the target, so signal rises with concentration. The most sensitive choice for mouse cytokines such as IL-6, TNF-alpha and IL-17A.

Not reliably. Kits use antibodies raised against one species' protein, and cross-reactivity is usually low or untested. Use a mouse kit, or check the datasheet for stated cross-reactivity.
Most kits need 50–100 µL per well, and many samples are diluted first, so small serum or plasma volumes usually go a long way. The product page lists the recommended dilution. To measure several analytes from one small sample, consider a mouse multiplex assay.
