May play an important role in myogenic growth and differentiation, and in the regulation of lipolysis in adipocytes by controlling the expression of adipose triglyceride lipase (ATGL), the rate-limiting lipolytic enzyme. Translocation of this gene with PAX3 has been associated with alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma. Contains 1 fork-head domain.
