Introduction:Art v 1, Artemisia vulgaris (mugwort) is a common weed in the Mediterranean area. The significant allergen of mugwort pollen, is a secreted modular glycoprotein with a N–terminal defensin–like and a C–terminal hydroxyproline–rich domain. The reactivity of IgE antibodies is primarily aimed to epitopes located in the N–terminal domain.
Description:Recombinant Art v 1 produced in SF9 is a glycosylated, polypeptide chain having a calculated molecular mass of 11,486 Dalton. Art v 1 is expressed with a 5xHis tag at N–terminus and purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
