The Anti-CCR3 Antibody (CAB20253) is a valuable tool for researchers studying CCR3, a chemokine receptor known for its role in allergic inflammation and immune responses. This polyclonal antibody, produced in rabbits, exhibits high reactivity with human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications. By binding specifically to the CCR3 protein, this antibody enables the detection and analysis of CCR3 expression in various cell types, making it an essential reagent for studies in immunology and allergic diseases.
CCR3 is a key player in allergic inflammation and immune responses, making it a promising target for research into diseases such as asthma, allergic rhinitis, and other allergic conditions. Understanding the function and regulation of CCR3 is crucial for developing novel therapeutic strategies that target this receptor for the treatment of allergic diseases and inflammatory conditions. With the Anti-CCR3 Antibody, researchers can advance their understanding of CCR3 biology and its implications in disease pathology.

The protein encoded by this gene is a receptor for C-C type chemokines. It belongs to family 1 of the G protein-coupled receptors. This receptor binds and responds to a variety of chemokines, including eotaxin (CCL11), eotaxin-3 (CCL26), MCP-3 (CCL7), MCP-4 (CCL13), and RANTES (CCL5). It is highly expressed in eosinophils and basophils, and is also detected in TH1 and TH2 cells, as well as in airway epithelial cells. This receptor may contribute to the accumulation and activation of eosinophils and other inflammatory cells in the allergic airway. It is also known to be an entry co-receptor for HIV-1. This gene and seven other chemokine receptor genes form a chemokine receptor gene cluster on the chromosomal region 3p21. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been described.
