Human UBE2G1 Recombinant Protein

Ubiquitin-conjugating E2 family member UBE2G1 is involved in the second step of the ubiquitination process. Ubiquitination has long been thought to be the central mechanism for protein degradation, but it is now considered important for a variety of cellular processes. The outcome of the ubiquitin-conjugation reaction, and thereby the fate of the substrate, is heavily dependent on the number of ubiquitin molecules attached and how these ubiquitin molecules are inter-connected. To handle this complexity and allow for adequate ubiquitination in time and space, a sophisticated conjugation mechanism has been created. In a stepwise manner, ubiquitin is activated by an ubiquitin-activating enzyme (E1), which delivers the ubiquitin to a set of ubiquitin-conjugating enzymes (E2s). Finally, E2s loaded with ubiquitin are interacting with ubiquitin protein ligases (E3s) and are conjugated to substrates as a result of recruitment by the E3. The three fundamental enzymes in this hierarchy are working in a hierarchical system, with two E1s and 35 E2s having been discovered and hundreds of E3s being identified in people. Human UBE2G1 Recombinant Protein is a highly pure recombinant protein developed by Assay Genie for use in a range of applications.
