The ACAT1 Antibody (CAB13273) is a high-quality antibody developed for reliable detection and analysis of target proteins. This antibody, generated in rabbits, is highly specific to human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications. By binding to the ACAT1 protein, this antibody allows for the detection and analysis of ACAT1 levels in various cell types, making it an excellent choice for studies in biochemistry and lipid metabolism research.ACAT1, also known as acyl-CoA:cholesterol acyltransferase 1, plays a crucial role in the esterification of cholesterol, a process essential for the storage and transport of this lipid in cells.
This antibody is validated for use in WB, IHC-P, ELISA applications and has demonstrated reactivity against Human, Mouse, Rat samples.

This gene encodes a mitochondrially localized enzyme that catalyzes the reversible formation of acetoacetyl-CoA from two molecules of acetyl-CoA. Defects in this gene are associated with 3-ketothiolase deficiency, an inborn error of isoleucine catabolism characterized by urinary excretion of 2-methyl-3-hydroxybutyric acid, 2-methylacetoacetic acid, tiglylglycine, and butanone.
