The ADH4 Antibody (CAB5454) is a high-quality antibody developed for reliable detection and analysis of target proteins. This antibody, generated in rabbits, is highly specific to human ADH4 samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications. By targeting the ADH4 protein, this antibody enables accurate detection and analysis in a variety of cell types, making it ideal for studies in biochemistry and pharmacology.ADH4 is known for its ability to metabolize alcohol, playing a key role in the breakdown of ethanol in the liver.
This antibody is validated for use in WB, ELISA applications and has demonstrated reactivity against Mouse samples.

This gene encodes class II alcohol dehydrogenase 4 pi subunit, which is a member of the alcohol dehydrogenase family. Members of this enzyme family metabolize a wide variety of substrates, including ethanol, retinol, other aliphatic alcohols, hydroxysteroids, and lipid peroxidation products. Class II alcohol dehydrogenase is a homodimer composed of 2 pi subunits. It exhibits a high activity for oxidation of long-chain aliphatic alcohols and aromatic alcohols and is less sensitive to pyrazole. This gene is localized to chromosome 4 in the cluster of alcohol dehydrogenase genes.
