The Anti-V5 Tag Agarose Beads (CABE029) is a high-quality antibody developed for reliable detection and analysis of target proteins. The V5-tag is a well-characterized viral-derived epitope fused to recombinant proteins to provide a reliable, non-endogenous immunological handle for detection and purification in mammalian expression systems. Its distinct origin minimizes interference from host cell proteins, enabling clean detection in western blotting, immunofluorescence, and immunoprecipitation applications.
This antibody is validated for use in IP applications and has demonstrated reactivity against Species independent samples.

Protein tags are peptide sequences genetically grafted onto a recombinant protein. Often these tags are removable by chemical agents or by enzymatic means, such as proteolysis or intein splicing. Tags are attached to proteins for various purposes.Epitope tags are short peptide sequences which are chosen because high-affinity antibodies can be reliably produced in many different species. These are usually derived from viral genes, which explain their high immunoreactivity. Epitope tags include V5-tag, Myc-tag, HA-tag and NE-tag. These tags are particularly useful for western blotting, immunofluorescence and immunoprecipitation experiments, although they also find use in antibody purification.

Buffer Information
Store at -20℃. Avoid freeze / thaw cycles. Buffer: PBS containing 50% glycerol, preserved with proclin300 or sodium azide, pH 7.3.
Immunoprecipitation of GFP-V5 from 300 µg extracts of 293F cells transfected with a GFP expression vector containing a single N-terminal V5-Tag was performed using 20 µl of Agarose Beads-conjugated Mouse anti V5-Tag mAb (CABE029).Affinity Gel-conjugated Mouse anti DDDDK-Tag mAb was used to precipitate the Control IgG sample. IP samples were eluted with 1× Laemmli Buffer. The Input lane represents 10% of the total input.Western blot analysis of immunoprecipitates was conducted usingRabbit anti V5-Tag mAb (AE101) at a dilution of 1:10000.
