The ATR Antibody (CAB7247) is a high-quality antibody developed for reliable detection and analysis of target proteins. This antibody, generated in rabbits, exhibits high specificity and sensitivity for detecting ATR in human samples, making it an invaluable tool for experiments involving Western blotting.ATR is a crucial protein involved in maintaining genomic stability and preventing the accumulation of mutations that can lead to cancer development. By targeting ATR with this polyclonal antibody, researchers can gain insights into the role of ATR in DNA damage repair and cell cycle checkpoint control.
This antibody is validated for use in WB, ELISA applications and has demonstrated reactivity against Human samples.

The protein encoded by this gene is a serine/threonine kinase and DNA damage sensor, activating cell cycle checkpoint signaling upon DNA stress. The encoded protein can phosphorylate and activate several proteins involved in the inhibition of DNA replication and mitosis, and can promote DNA repair, recombination, and apoptosis. This protein is also important for fragile site stability and centrosome duplication. Defects in this gene are a cause of Seckel syndrome 1.
