The BDNF Antibody (CAB1307) is a high-quality antibody developed for reliable detection and analysis of target proteins. This antibody, produced in rabbits, is highly specific to BDNF in human samples and is validated for use in Western blot applications. By binding to the BDNF protein, researchers can accurately detect and analyze its expression in various cell types, making it an essential tool for studies in neuroscience and neurodegenerative diseases.BDNF is a crucial factor in promoting neuronal survival, growth, and function in the brain, making it a central focus in understanding conditions such as Alzheimer's disease, depression, and neurodevelopmental disorders.
This antibody is validated for use in WB, ELISA applications and has demonstrated reactivity against Human, Mouse, Rat samples.

This gene encodes a member of the nerve growth factor family of proteins. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants, at least one of which encodes a preproprotein that is proteolytically processed to generate the mature protein. Binding of this protein to its cognate receptor promotes neuronal survival in the adult brain. Expression of this gene is reduced in Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, and Huntington's disease patients. This gene may play a role in the regulation of the stress response and in the biology of mood disorders.
