The CBX1 Antibody (CAB2247) is a high-quality antibody developed for reliable detection and analysis of target proteins. This antibody, generated in rabbits, exhibits high specificity and sensitivity for detecting CBX1 in human samples, making it an essential asset for Western blot applications. By binding to CBX1, this antibody enables precise detection and analysis of the protein in various cell types, facilitating investigations in epigenetics, gene expression, and chromatin dynamics.CBX1, also known as chromobox homolog 1, is a critical player in maintaining chromatin structure and regulating gene expression patterns. Dysregulation of CBX1 has been linked to various diseases, including cancer and developmental disorders, underscoring the importance of studying its function.
This antibody is validated for use in WB, ELISA applications and has demonstrated reactivity against Human, Mouse, Rat samples.

This gene encodes a highly conserved nonhistone protein, which is a member of the heterochromatin protein family . The protein is enriched in the heterochromatin and associated with centromeres. The protein has a single N-terminal chromodomain which can bind to histone proteins via methylated lysine residues, and a C-terminal chromo shadow-domain (CSD) which is responsible for the homodimerization and interaction with a number of chromatin-associated nonhistone proteins. The protein may play an important role in the epigenetic control of chromatin structure and gene expression. Several related pseudogenes are located on chromosomes 1, 3, and X. Multiple alternatively spliced variants, encoding the same protein, have been identified.
