The BCHE Antibody (CAB1460) is a high-quality antibody developed for reliable detection and analysis of target proteins. This antibody, produced in rabbits, is highly specific for human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications.Cholinesterase is crucial for the proper functioning of the nervous system, as it breaks down acetylcholine, a neurotransmitter involved in muscle contractions and cognitive functions. Dysregulation of cholinesterase activity has been linked to various neurological disorders, making it an important target for research in neuroscience and pharmacology.
This antibody is validated for use in WB, ELISA applications and has demonstrated reactivity against Human, Mouse, Rat samples.

This gene encodes a cholinesterase enzyme and member of the type-B carboxylesterase/lipase family of proteins. The encoded enzyme exhibits broad substrate specificity and is involved in the detoxification of poisons including organophosphate nerve agents and pesticides, and the metabolism of drugs including cocaine, heroin and aspirin. Humans homozygous for certain mutations in this gene exhibit prolonged apnea after administration of the muscle relaxant succinylcholine.
