The Creatine kinase B type (CKB) Antibody (CAB12631) is a high-quality antibody developed for reliable detection and analysis of target proteins. This antibody, produced in rabbits, has high specificity and sensitivity towards CKB in human samples, making it ideal for Western blot applications.CKB is involved in the conversion of creatine and ATP to phosphocreatine and ADP, playing a key role in energy transfer in tissues with high and fluctuating energy demands, such as skeletal muscle and brain.
This antibody is validated for use in WB, ELISA applications and has demonstrated reactivity against Human, Mouse, Rat samples.

The protein encoded by this gene is a cytoplasmic enzyme involved in energy homeostasis. The encoded protein reversibly catalyzes the transfer of phosphate between ATP and various phosphogens such as creatine phosphate. It acts as a homodimer in brain as well as in other tissues, and as a heterodimer with a similar muscle isozyme in heart. The encoded protein is a member of the ATP:guanido phosphotransferase protein family. A pseudogene of this gene has been characterized.
