The CLCNKA Antibody (CAB3792) is a high-quality antibody developed for reliable detection and analysis of target proteins. This antibody, raised in rabbits, has high reactivity with human samples and is validated for use in various research applications including Western blot and immunohistochemistry. The CLCNKA gene plays a crucial role in maintaining electrolyte balance and renal function, making it a key target for studying kidney disorders and hypertension. By detecting the expression of CLCNKA protein, researchers can gain insights into the function and regulation of chloride channels in the kidney, opening up avenues for potential therapeutic interventions in salt-sensitive hypertension and other related conditions.
This antibody is validated for use in WB, ELISA applications and has demonstrated reactivity against Human, Mouse samples.

This gene is a member of the CLC family of voltage-gated chloride channels. The encoded protein is predicted to have 12 transmembrane domains, and requires a beta subunit called barttin to form a functional channel. It is thought to function in salt reabsorption in the kidney and potassium recycling in the inner ear. The gene is highly similar to CLCNKB, which is located 10 kb downstream from this gene. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
