The COL11A1 Antibody (CAB10559) is a high-quality antibody developed for reliable detection and analysis of target proteins. This antibody, produced in rabbits, demonstrates high reactivity with human samples and is specifically validated for use in Western blot applications. COL11A1 is a crucial component in maintaining tissue structure and function, particularly in cartilage, bones, and the eye. Abnormalities in COL11A1 expression have been associated with a variety of disorders, including skeletal dysplasias, cleft palate, and ocular diseases.
This antibody is validated for use in WB, IHC-P, ELISA applications and has demonstrated reactivity against Human, Mouse, Rat samples.

This gene encodes one of the two alpha chains of type XI collagen, a minor fibrillar collagen. Type XI collagen is a heterotrimer but the third alpha chain is a post-translationally modified alpha 1 type II chain. Mutations in this gene are associated with type II Stickler syndrome and with Marshall syndrome. A single-nucleotide polymorphism in this gene is also associated with susceptibility to lumbar disc herniation. Multiple transcript variants have been identified for this gene.
