The CSNK2A2 Polyclonal Antibody is a valuable tool for researchers studying CSNK2A2, a protein kinase involved in various cellular processes such as cell growth, proliferation, and apoptosis. This antibody, generated in rabbits, exhibits high specificity and sensitivity towards human samples, making it suitable for use in Western blot experiments. By binding to the CSNK2A2 protein, researchers can accurately detect and analyze its expression in different cell types, providing insights into its function and potential role in disease mechanisms.
CSNK2A2, also known as casein kinase II alpha prime, is a key player in signaling pathways that regulate cell cycle progression and survival. Dysregulation of CSNK2A2 has been linked to various diseases, including cancer and neurodegenerative disorders, making it a promising therapeutic target. By studying the functions of CSNK2A2, researchers can uncover new strategies for developing targeted therapies aimed at modulating its activity and potentially treating related diseases.

This gene encodes the alpha', or alpha 2, catalytic subunit of the protein kinase enzyme, casein kinase 2 (CK2). Casein kinase 2 is a serine/threonine protein kinase that phosphorylates acidic proteins such as casein. It is involved in various cellular processes, including cell cycle control, apoptosis, and circadian rhythms. This heterotetrameric kinase includes two catalytic subunits, either alpha or alpha', and two regulatory beta subunits. The closely related gene paralog encoding the alpha, or alpha 1 subunit (CSNK2A1, Gene ID: 1457) is found on chromosome 20. An intronic variant in this gene (alpha 2) may be associated with leukocyte telomere length in a South Asian population. A related transcribed pseudogene is found on chromosome 11.
