The EPB42 Antibody (CAB17481) is a high-quality antibody developed for reliable detection and analysis of target proteins. This antibody, raised in rabbits, is highly specific to EPB42 in human samples and is validated for use in Western blot applications. By binding to the EPB42 protein, this antibody allows for accurate detection and analysis in a variety of cell types, making it ideal for studies in cell biology and disease research.EPB42, also known as erythrocyte membrane protein band 4.2, is essential for maintaining the shape and function of red blood cells.
This antibody is validated for use in WB, ELISA applications and has demonstrated reactivity against Human, Mouse samples.

Erythrocyte membrane protein band 4.2 is an ATP-binding protein which may regulate the association of protein 3 with ankyrin. It probably has a role in erythrocyte shape and mechanical property regulation. Mutations in the EPB42 gene are associated with recessive spherocytic elliptocytosis and recessively transmitted hereditary hemolytic anemia. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
