The FUT8 Antibody (CAB12933) is a high-quality antibody developed for reliable detection and analysis of target proteins. This antibody, generated in rabbits, shows high reactivity with human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications. By specifically binding to the FUT8 protein, this antibody enables the detection and analysis of FUT8 in various cell types, making it ideal for investigations in glycobiology and cancer research.FUT8, also known as α1,6-fucosyltransferase, plays a crucial role in the catalysis of core fucosylation, a type of protein glycosylation known to modulate various cellular processes.
This antibody is validated for use in WB, ELISA applications and has demonstrated reactivity against Human, Mouse samples.

This gene encodes an enzyme belonging to the family of fucosyltransferases. The product of this gene catalyzes the transfer of fucose from GDP-fucose to N-linked type complex glycopeptides. This enzyme is distinct from other fucosyltransferases which catalyze alpha1-2, alpha1-3, and alpha1-4 fucose addition. The expression of this gene may contribute to the malignancy of cancer cells and to their invasive and metastatic capabilities. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
