The GGCT Antibody (CAB4957) is a high-quality antibody developed for reliable detection and analysis of target proteins. This antibody, generated in rabbits, demonstrates high reactivity with human samples and is validated for use in Western blot applications. By specifically binding to GGCT, this antibody allows for the accurate detection and analysis of GGCT protein levels in a variety of cell types.GGCT is a critical enzyme involved in the maintenance of cellular redox balance and protection against oxidative stress. Dysregulation of GGCT expression has been implicated in various diseases, including cancer, neurodegenerative disorders, and cardiovascular diseases.
This antibody is validated for use in WB, ELISA applications and has demonstrated reactivity against Human samples.

The protein encoded by this gene catalyzes the formation of 5-oxoproline from gamma-glutamyl dipeptides, the penultimate step in glutathione catabolism, and may play a critical role in glutathione homeostasis. The encoded protein may also play a role in cell proliferation, and the expression of this gene is a potential marker for cancer. Pseudogenes of this gene are located on the long arm of chromosome 5 and the short arm of chromosomes 2 and 20. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding multiple isoforms have been observed for this gene.
