The GIPR Antibody (CAB9816) is a high-quality antibody developed for reliable detection and analysis of target proteins. This antibody, developed in rabbits, shows high reactivity with human samples and has been validated for use in various applications, including Western blotting. The GIPR protein plays a crucial role in glucose metabolism and is a potential target for therapeutic interventions in metabolic disorders such as diabetes and obesity. By binding specifically to GIPR, this antibody enables the detection and analysis of GIPR expression in different cell types, making it an essential tool for studies in metabolism, endocrinology, and related fields.
This antibody is validated for use in WB, IHC-P, ELISA applications and has demonstrated reactivity against Human, Mouse, Rat samples.

This gene encodes a G-protein coupled receptor for gastric inhibitory polypeptide (GIP), which was originally identified as an activity in gut extracts that inhibited gastric acid secretion and gastrin release, but subsequently was demonstrated to stimulate insulin release in the presence of elevated glucose. Mice lacking this gene exhibit higher blood glucose levels with impaired initial insulin response after oral glucose load. Defect in this gene thus may contribute to the pathogenesis of diabetes.
