The Human AGER Polyclonal Antibody (CAB22536) is a high-quality antibody developed for reliable detection and analysis of target proteins. This antibody, produced in rabbits, is highly specific and reactive with human samples, making it a valuable tool for studies in immunology, inflammation, and cancer research.AGER, also known as receptor for advanced glycation end products, is a key player in the pathogenesis of various diseases, including diabetes, neurodegenerative disorders, and inflammatory conditions.
This antibody is validated for use in WB, ELISA applications and has demonstrated reactivity against Mouse, Rat samples.

The advanced glycosylation end product (AGE) receptor encoded by this gene is a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily of cell surface receptors. It is a multiligand receptor, and besides AGE, interacts with other molecules implicated in homeostasis, development, and inflammation, and certain diseases, such as diabetes and Alzheimer's disease. Many alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms, as well as non-protein-coding variants, have been described for this gene (PMID:18089847).
