The Cytokeratin 19 (KRT19) Antibody (CAB0247) is a high-quality antibody developed for reliable detection and analysis of target proteins. This antibody, raised in rabbits, has high reactivity with human samples and is validated for use in various applications, including Western blot and immunohistochemistry.KRT19 is an intermediate filament protein that plays a critical role in maintaining the structural integrity of epithelial cells. Dysregulation of KRT19 expression has been implicated in various diseases, including cancer and liver disease. By targeting KRT19 with this antibody, researchers can study its expression levels and localization in different cell types, making it a valuable tool for studies in cell biology and pathology.
This antibody is validated for use in WB, IHC-P, IF/ICC, ELISA applications and has demonstrated reactivity against Human, Mouse, Rat samples.

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the keratin family. The keratins are intermediate filament proteins responsible for the structural integrity of epithelial cells and are subdivided into cytokeratins and hair keratins. The type I cytokeratins consist of acidic proteins which are arranged in pairs of heterotypic keratin chains. Unlike its related family members, this smallest known acidic cytokeratin is not paired with a basic cytokeratin in epithelial cells. It is specifically expressed in the periderm, the transiently superficial layer that envelopes the developing epidermis. The type I cytokeratins are clustered in a region of chromosome 17q12-q21.
