The KYNU Antibody (CAB6643) is a high-quality antibody developed for reliable detection and analysis of target proteins. This antibody, produced in rabbits, is highly specific for human samples and is suitable for use in Western blot applications. By binding to the kynureninase protein, this antibody enables researchers to detect and analyze the enzyme in a variety of cell types, making it a valuable resource for studies in immunology, neuroscience, and metabolic disorders.Kynureninase plays a crucial role in the catabolism of tryptophan, a key amino acid involved in immune regulation and neurotransmitter synthesis. Dysregulation of the kynurenine pathway has been implicated in a variety of diseases, including autoimmune disorders, neurodegenerative diseases, and psychiatric disorders.
This antibody is validated for use in WB, IHC-P, IF/ICC, ELISA applications and has demonstrated reactivity against Human, Mouse, Rat samples.

Kynureninase is a pyridoxal-5'-phosphate (pyridoxal-P) dependent enzyme that catalyzes the cleavage of L-kynurenine and L-3-hydroxykynurenine into anthranilic and 3-hydroxyanthranilic acids, respectively. Kynureninase is involved in the biosynthesis of NAD cofactors from tryptophan through the kynurenine pathway. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
