The Lipoprotein lipase (LPL) Antibody (CAB16252) is a high-quality antibody developed for reliable detection and analysis of target proteins. This antibody, produced in rabbits, exhibits high specificity and sensitivity for detecting LPL in human samples, making it a reliable choice for Western blot applications.Lipoprotein lipase plays a key role in breaking down triglycerides found in circulating lipoproteins, making it a key player in regulating plasma lipid levels. Dysregulation of LPL activity has been linked to metabolic disorders such as hypertriglyceridemia and cardiovascular disease, making it a promising target for therapeutic interventions.
This antibody is validated for use in WB, ELISA applications and has demonstrated reactivity against Human, Mouse, Rat samples.

LPL encodes lipoprotein lipase, which is expressed in heart, muscle, and adipose tissue. LPL functions as a homodimer, and has the dual functions of triglyceride hydrolase and ligand/bridging factor for receptor-mediated lipoprotein uptake. Severe mutations that cause LPL deficiency result in type I hyperlipoproteinemia, while less extreme mutations in LPL are linked to many disorders of lipoprotein metabolism.
