The Myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein Antibody (CAB5353) is a high-quality antibody developed for reliable detection and analysis of target proteins. This antibody is generated in rabbits and has high reactivity with human samples, making it suitable for various applications including Western blotting.MOG is a key antigen in autoimmune demyelinating diseases, making this antibody valuable for investigating the role of MOG in the pathogenesis of multiple sclerosis and other related disorders. By specifically binding to MOG, this antibody allows for precise detection and analysis of MOG expression in different cell types, providing important insights into the mechanisms underlying these diseases.
This antibody is validated for use in WB, ELISA applications and has demonstrated reactivity against Human, Mouse, Rat samples.

The product of this gene is a membrane protein expressed on the oligodendrocyte cell surface and the outermost surface of myelin sheaths. Due to this localization, it is a primary target antigen involved in immune-mediated demyelination. This protein may be involved in completion and maintenance of the myelin sheath and in cell-cell communication. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.
