The MSH2 Monoclonal Antibody (CAB8740) is a high-quality antibody developed for reliable detection and analysis of target proteins. This antibody, produced and validated for specificity in rabbit hosts, is highly reactive with human samples and is ideal for use in Western blot applications.MSH2 is a key component of the DNA mismatch repair system, responsible for recognizing and repairing errors in DNA replication. Mutations in MSH2 are associated with hereditary nonpolyposis colorectal cancer (HNPCC) and other forms of cancer, making it a crucial target for research in cancer biology and genetics.
This antibody is validated for use in WB, ELISA applications and has demonstrated reactivity against Human, Mouse, Rat samples.

This locus is frequently mutated in hereditary nonpolyposis colon cancer (HNPCC). When cloned, it was discovered to be a human homolog of the E. coli mismatch repair gene mutS, consistent with the characteristic alterations in microsatellite sequences (RER+ phenotype) found in HNPCC. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
