The MTHFR Antibody (CAB0305) is a high-quality antibody developed for reliable detection and analysis of target proteins. This antibody is designed to specifically target and detect the MTHFR protein in human samples, providing accurate and reliable results for Western blot applications.MTHFR is an essential enzyme involved in the metabolism of folate and homocysteine, making it a key player in various physiological processes, including DNA synthesis and repair. Mutations in the MTHFR gene have been linked to a range of health conditions, such as cardiovascular disease, neural tube defects, and certain types of cancer.
This antibody is validated for use in WB, ELISA applications and has demonstrated reactivity against Rat samples.

The protein encoded by this gene catalyzes the conversion of 5,10-methylenetetrahydrofolate to 5-methyltetrahydrofolate, a co-substrate for homocysteine remethylation to methionine. Genetic variation in this gene influences susceptibility to occlusive vascular disease, neural tube defects, colon cancer and acute leukemia, and mutations in this gene are associated with methylenetetrahydrofolate reductase deficiency.
